The piece was commissioned by Co-Curricular Activities 
Branch of Ministry of Education, Singapore for the Singapore
Youth Festival Central Judging 2007. The text is taken from
a poem written by Siegfried SASSOON who is well known for 
his antiwar poetry. Light and powerful music in the 6/8 
rhythm was inspired by Joget, a typical Malaysian dance.
