Unaccompanied Arrangements af Latvian Folk Songs for Male, Female and Mixed Choir. This volume, the tenth in the 12-volume Anthology, is chronologically the final one of a series of five volumes (VI-X) presenting an overall view of the development of Latvian folkloric composition for choir since 1873. As for the other volumes of the Anthology, a selection of songs from this volume has been recorded by the Riga Chamber Choir AVE SOL and issued on compact disc and audio cassette: Anthology of Latvian Choral Music-X. The Sun's Golden Wreath (Riga, 2002).

He also directs and conducts 11 choruses regularly. He is the first Asian to receive the Composer and Choral Conductor awards as recipient of the Robert Edler Prize for Choral Music 2005.

Requiem

The short Requiem was a work commissioned by the publisher Giulio Ricordi, who wanted to mark the fourth anniversary (27 January 1905) of the death of Giuseppe Verdi.
